So there's this promotion company that sends us a lot of crap, pure crap. They've sent us this record by Speakeasy Tiger and it's not too terrible. It's dancey electro pop rock music. It's kind of catchy. I don't listen to this electro rock shit, but I won't deny it's catchiness. And she can kind of sing. Really sing. Power sing. Power dance. Power to the electric rock jamz.
Yo da Castanets are pretty swell. There's an RIYL for Deer Tick, Phosphorescent, and the Mountain Goats. They have pretty good jamz. They didn't quite make it onto the iPod, but perhaps one day they will. http://www.myspace.com/castanets

Oh wow Silver Starling is a band on Last Gang Records that makes pretty indie pop jamz. After Last Gang's latest release, that terrible dance thing, this definitely saves them. I guess if you like Bishop Allen and other fun poppy groups, you may dig this. I'm not so good at music comparison because Bishop allen is totally different. So I guess this shitty promo company that I previously mentioned isn't nearly as terrible as I had thought. There's this band called Eureka Birds and although I'm not crazy about them, they're not too bad. Check out their jamz now! Their music is kind of pretty and they have a show with Le Loup and since I dig Le Loup, I'll give them a chance. the still life is a sweet jam.
jenn grant is like laura marling meets whitney houston. just kidding. we should think about having a whitney houston marathon for radiothon. and she could come and do an in studio set. if shes not dead yet. anyway this is pretty sweet. if you like peggy sue, laura marling, regina spektor, etc, etc, etc, check out jenn grant. plus her album art is pimp gold. It's very pretty: her songs & the album art.
