Things You Might Love, Things You Might Despise Pt XX

My delicious suggestions: Da Vincis & Parlour Steps unless you want to listen to dreadfully boring jamz.

Silver Jackson is a pretty okay. That's it though. If you like acoustic-y jamz, give this record a listen. If Alec Ounsworth was to jazz up his new record, it might sound something like this but with more tolerant vocals. Can't take too much Alec Ounsworth.

Hyperstory is a kind of boring band from LA. Kind of alternative and might appeal to those of you who like AAA or what not. Their instrumentals are sometimes almost jazzy but in the most subtle way. Personally, I won't be listening to their jamz. BLAH boring. http://www.myspace.com/hyperstoryofficial

Hey, The Da Vincis are surprisingly sweet and kind of delightful. If you like super poppy indie jamz, be sure to check thier jamz out! It might remind me of one of my favorite bands of all time, Golden Silvers. RIYL Bishop Allen, Rose Buds, Page France. Seriously, so surprisingly good and catchy as hell! There are some dance jamz, too.

Seth Glier is a stereotypical singer song-writer. Boring for you, but maybe spiffy for others who are into that kind of thing. Reminds me of a softer Rocket Summer.

Parlour Steps are pretty good. Mumford and Sons mashed with Metric-y riffs and something else that just isn't coming to mind. They're good, though. I think it will definitely appeal to the diversity of our juicy staff. Holla.

Bear in Heaven is a local electronic band from Brooklyn. They played the juicy pitchfork / showpaper benefit that I told all you about. I'm not crazy about them, but all you techno kids out there, eat this one up. RIYL Animal Collective, Yeasayer, This Heat, HEALTH.

Lee & Willbee are an indie band from Chicago that sound good, but sound like every other indie band in existence. Kind of generic sounding. Blah.
