Things You Might Love, Things You Might Despise Pt 1

Paddy Free + Michael Hodgson are two juicy New Zealanders who make smooth dub electronica jamz. This one is going for an RPM add (Brobill). Be sure to check it out especially if you dug the latest T.H. White release. http://www.myspace.com/pitchblacknz

Girls In Trouble is a band from Brooklyn, well more or less a single Jewish lady living in Bushwick. Girls In Trouble is actually on a non for profit Jewish label dedicated to the Jewish music community. Pretty sweet. Anyway this record is joyful acoustic jamz. Some jamz are St. Vincent-ish and a lot of the instrumentals are like lamed-down Peggy Sue instrumentals. Overall this record makes me feel like I should run in a field of flowers and hold hands with a bunch of people for world peace and do something good, like plant a tree or flowers if I'm feeling lazy. I didn't think I would like this record, but is definitely a simply feel good record full of love and flowers and rainbows and kittens. http://www.myspace.com/girlsintroublemusic

Variety Lab is variety... lab? Their record is super fun and dancey and every song seems to be in a different genre from the next. So it doesn't really matter what kind of jamz you typically listen to, there's probably one Variety Lab jam that you enjoy. Sodapop Confusion is a sweet jam to kick off on. I Love You is a band from Kansas City that is super duper experimental and kind of awesome. If Delorean and Silk Roses made a baby, it would be I Love You. Check out 'This Is The Best Birthday Ever" http://www.myspace.com/yahtibyahlablu

Birds & Batteries makes retro techno jamz. Sounds like Hot Chip without the sodomy. http://www.myspace.com/birdsbatteries
Check out the jam Lonely Guns.
