Things You Might Love, Things You Might Despise Pt 2222

My suggestions: CAPGUN COUP and Spider Bags.

So we finally got the new Tegan and Sara album in! I really really hated them back in the day, but corporate retail has brainwashed me and every single day for a year I had to listen to The Con while I folded clothing and made skateboards. I feel like as they've matured musically, their voices have become less annoying. So this album is the medium between The Con and So Jealous with So Jealous being the best of the three. 'Paperback head' is a good jam. 'Northshore' is a terrible jam. So are the rest. Tegan and Sara, you should have ended at 'So Jealous'. http://www.myspace.com/teganandsara

So I'm going to tell you how awesome I am. I'm awesome like Oprah interviewing Ellen DeGeneres. Recently Birdman records released a new Spider Bags record called 'Goodbye Cruel World, Hello Crueler World'. Well, hold up Pitchfork, WUSB totally had that shit back in March. WUSB, aaf. I will be putting this 'new' record back in CR1 again. Maybe now you'll trust me that ex-DC Snipers, Daniel McGee, will find a place in your big juicy musical heart. So if you have no idea, DC Snipers is an infamous DIY punk band from NJ. The band split up and bunch of them ended up in NC (Spider Bags). So now they make jamz that are less punk and more country although it still bites like punk. Can I say that? Can music bite? Anyway, give them a chance. Just do it. http://www.myspace.com/spiderbags

The new Capgun Coup record is perfect. I've mentioned them before when I was begging you to play digital jamz, but now there will be a physical copy. The record takes you on swoops through lo-fi punk jamz like 'Bad Bands' and then into warm, super whiny, acoustic jamz like 'It Breaks No Heart of Mine,' that you can't help but love. But then there are beautiful musical pop jamz like 'Fish'. But wait, then there are surf punk jamz like 'When I'm Gone'. Some songs are more lo-fi than others, and it's always with the right feel. This record might just be perfect, but then again this only the second time I've listened to it! Please give this one a listen. Don't be a fool and simply listen to a song or two in cue and then pass it up; there's a variety of songs and one will definitely float your boat. http://www.myspace.com/capguncoup

Things You Might Love; Things You Might Hate Pt 434958349683498

Check out Capgun Coup & Devendra Banhart. Capgun Coup is awesome.

Devendra Banhart makes pretty acoustic jamz that are kind of relaxing. Sometimes they're a bit awkward, but if you like awkward good jamz, look no farther than Mr. Banhart. And you should check out the album art, it really is beautiful and very well printed. RIYL Akron / Family, Johanna Newsom, Vetiver, Six Organs of Admittance http://www.myspace.com/devendrabanhart

Devries are pretty good. They sound like Yo La Tengo. Check out their jamz now: http://www.myspace.com/devriesmusic I really like Girl in the Furskin Rug

Jookabox is a juicy band from Indianapolis. I kind of like it, but I have no idea how to explain it. It's fast, it's experimental, maybe kind of dancey, some songs suck a lot, but ultimately; it's not that bad. RIYL Animal Collective, tuneyards, ween, au. http://www.myspace.com/jookabox

Capgun Coup is an awesome surf punk band from Nebraska. This is probably my favorite new record that we've gotten. If you've been playing Fluffy Lumbers (Outerlibrary) or Turbo Fruits, or if you're into lo-fi punk (finn & rock&roll mike), check out Capgun Coup asap and play the shit out of them. http://www.myspace.com/capguncoup
