Gender Queer Elders

This video absolutely rocks! They remind me of two aunts I have in Greeceland that I see once a year for about a total of five seconds.

Jam of The Day: Male Bonding - Pirate Key

Male Bonding is a brilliant punk band from Dalston, London who are taking on the national music scene with perseverance and hard hard work. In short matter of time, the three dudes of Male Bonding started a band, a label, got signed to Subpop and did a shit load of touring. In early May, they're releasing their stunning debut LP chock full of fierce brisk pop jamz. I promise you'll like it just as much as this jam called Pirate Key which reminds me a bit of Abe Vigoda at times. This jam was released in 2009 on Male Bonding's own label, Paradise Vendors, on a split 7" with another band called PENS from their DIY scene in Dalston.

MALE BONDING 2010, get ready for the takeover.

Jam of The Day - Dum Dum Girls - Line Her Eyes

I'm sure by this point, most or at least many of you kids have heard of the juicy west coast band, Dum Dum Girls. To be quiet honest, I've always mixed them up with a band called the Babies (they sound totally different). Anyway, their new LP, "I Will Be," isn't too bad. Anyway, there are some pretty solid jamz on "I Will Be" including the very obvious Jail La La which was pretty huge and Everybody's Out and Line Her Eyes, which is probably my favorite jams of the entire album and that's why it's the jam of the day. I'm done ranting about Dum Dum Girls. Listen to them if you like jamz like Fluffy Lumbers, Frankie Rose, Raveonettes, Golden Triangle, etc.

Jam of The Day: Beach House - Zebra

So, Subpop sent the Beach House record our way and my, what a fine record it truly is. I think all of you will find a tender spot in your big juicy radio hearts for this record. I'm not really into pretty beautiful pop-ish jamz, but I'm definitely feeling this! There's this song called Zebra that is fucking brilliant and you should listen to it. It's so good! And if you like Grizzly Bear, you will love Beach House.
