Jam of The Day: Double Dagger - Pillow Talk

One of my favorite bands, Double Dagger, have just released an awesome 5 song EP called Masks on Thrill Jockey Records. If you have not heard of Double Dagger yet, I want to call you a fool, but I won't since I did such a terrible job telling you all about their LP, "More," when it had it's run at WUSB. They are one of the most epic live shows, ever. They're actually playing a show with Future Islands on May 1st which I will tell you is fucking awesome. The same exact line up happened during CMJ and it was definitely the best part of CMJ even though it wasn't even part of CMJ. So now, you understand the god-given qualities that Double Dagger has. Masks is an awesome EP and maybe the jamz on there will grow on me the same way the jamz on "More" did. The jam of the day is a song called Pillow Talk, a song that is fast, angry, and awesomeeeee. Double Dagger, forever. I'm not trying to single any one out, but Chris Phillips, if you don't like Double Dagger yet, you will LOVE them. I think Mark Akner will, too! Also, anyone who may have liked JEFF the brotherhood (although they have a totally different sound).
