rip the xx?

So word on the street is that the XX are hitting a road block after their guitarist didn't show up for a gig. I thought someone's response to the loss was quite funny:

I'd like to be part of the band.. I'll come to all the gigs and just stand around.. I could pretend to be security.. I'll even wear a fake ear-plug and talk into my watch.. this should keep people/fans/stalkers back a good bit. I'll dress the part, I look like a mysterious security guy.. very versatile etc, I might even become a part of the band.. I could stand on the stage and just stare out into the crowds.. as though I'm looking around for potential assassinator's.. could be cool.. just email if you'd like to get this ball bouncing.. k.. alrighty then.. I'm going to go brush my teeth now.. so b-bye.

The XX record is pretty solid and it is in CR1 so check it out! If you're a fan of the stars, I heavily encourage you to listen to this simple and quite indifferent record that is insanely catchy. I have no idea why I can't stop listening to it. They're not that talented and their live show wasn't that great, but their jamz are still catchy. Their jamz aren't even musically complex. Someone who just learned how to play guitar or bass can probably make the very same jamz!
