Digital gets physical.

So there's a lot of digital jamz that you don't play because 1. you have no idea how to access it or 2. you have this theory that playing jamz from the pc isn't real deejaying.

WELL, here's a cure for all of you plagued by apathy to playing digital jamz. I will burn a CD with a few good digital jamz everyweek so you can play the jamz regardless of what your dilemma is (unless the CD player stops working again).

Digital Thingz.

I WANT YOU TO PLAY DIGITAL JAMZ.
There's a shitload of good music that can be found within the shared libraries of iTunes.

SMALL BLACK - If you're into the lo-fi pop jamz that it seems almost every artist is making, then you'll certainly like Small Black. They're like Neon Indian and Washed Out. Greater than Washed Out and not as good as Neon Indian. Mike Gildersleeve of outerlibrary discovered these wonderful pop jamz long before anyone else did. http://www.myspace.com/smallblacksounds

Golden Silvers - I keep telling you how awesome Golden Silvers is. Maybe you unconvinced. If you like dancey, very well produced pop jamz made by beautiful English boys, check them out! http://www.myspace.com/thegoldensilvers

The Almighty Defenders are pretty rad and definitely very under appreciated at WUSBee. If you liked the latest Black Lips record or King Khan & BBQ, you will definitely, without a doubt, love this record because they are the Almighty Defenders! Do it. Listen to this! Here's the entire album: http://music.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=music.artistalbums&artistid=18520889&ap=0&albumid=12959085

Candy Claws are a band from Colorado that are pretty fucking awesome. Maybe if you like Ganglians, Holiday Shores, Woods and other things along those lines, you would enjoy Candy Claws. They're awesome and you should play them, especially if you're mixtape radio or outerlibrary or BRO BILL! http://www.myspace.com/candyclaws

Turtle Ambulance - We have two Turtle Ambulance singles and you should play them if you like Truman Peyote, Netherfriends, or Fool's Gold. http://www.myspace.com/turtleambulance

More to be added to this post. I have to pee / go to class. RIP BIGGIE.

IAMSOUND Showcase @ CMJ.

Oh man, so last night I went to the IAMSOUND showcase featuring Apache Beat, Suckers, Golden Silvers, and Fool's Gold. Fool's Gold was amazing and if you ever get the chance, go see them! There's a million of them and a million of them do percussion. Fool's Gold is still in CR1, so definitely check them out! They're kind of tropical dancey punk fun. Ah they're so good! Apache Beat has a creepy kind of seductive lead vocalist. I'm going to be honest and tell you that I thought this band would be absolutely terrible, but they were pretty good. Suckers was favorite act of the night. Their set was perfect and I think they are one of my favorite live bands! We will definitely be expecting a new full length record from them soon! If you like Grizzly Bear, I think you will find a place in your heart for Suckers. And Golden Silvers were very good, too. Tall lanky English men playing synth and bobbing their heads around, very much like their music videos. Their set sounded perfect, although it wasn't too interesting.

YEAH, IAMSOUND takes over NYC.

Oh man, this is delicious.

The Golden Silvers record is absolutely perfect. Some songs make me want to walk in front of a bus, dance like there's no tomorrow, or just rock out. If you're into records that are juicy and diverse, look no further than the Golden Silvers record, found in our digital library. I just may burn it to a CD since our technology is super ghetto. It's so GOOD. AHH I can't stop listening to it and everytime I do, I'm taken aback. "My Love is A Seed That Doesn't Grow," is an epically awesome song to start on. Or maybe if you'd like a dance jam, "True Romance" or "Arrows of Eros." Or maybe you don't float in either of those directions, check out the sweet pop jam, "Magic Touch." AH so good. I could go on for days, but I'll resist. Enjoy Golden Silvers.
